Frank's Cottage, July 30 2006
The prospect of a humidex'd weekend of mid to high thirty degree temperature led me to take up a long standing offer of chilling at my uncle Frank's cottage. It was an awesome weekend - my only regret was forgetting my camera on the Saturday, when we boated to an island/sandbar and chilled out.
But I did remember to bring my camera on the second day, and documented a boat ride ... which, it seems, will never not be a lot of fun. In other words, it's always fun going fast on a boat.
There are two videos that illustrate that, to some degree - be patient, they're large files 1 & 2. (To save to your computer, Right Click and select "Save Target As ...")
Here's me and Frank.
There's Sheel, poking her head around my melon.

Heading out of the marina.
It was a really hot day. Boating, is a wonderful means of keeping cool.
We were far from the only boat out there.
Self portrait at close to 50 mph.
No hair products stand up to the wind. Check out the video (patient, it's a large file)
I even took the back seat for a while.
We had a bit of a race, but not really, with Paul's Scarab. Check out the video (be patient, it's a big file)
For the cover of "Men's Health" ...
Good times.
