Birthday in NYC, Jan 11-13, 2008
So, on the 11th me and Sheel flew to NYC for the weekend. It was Sheila's first trip to the city and my birthday weekend.
We were staying at the Paramount, near Times Square. We arrived and dumped our stuff.

Met up with my good friends Wilvan & Jonathan (New York residents) ... we had dinner at the Lucky Strike, in SoHo.

Then we walked around Soho somehwat.

We had a VERY early day, so we started off by walking to the park. Walked up Broadway, past the Ed Sullivan Theatre.
Here's the Hearst Building, on the way.

Walked through Central Park.

Popped out of the park at the Met.

Then the Guggenheim.

Then trained it down to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty.

Then walked up to Ground Zero.

Over to Wall Street.
Then made it around Soho, and up to Union
Square.
Back up to the hotel at Times Square.

Then to the Moma.

Sheila, scored us seats to the Montreal
Canadians - New York Rangers game at Madison Square Gardens. So we got there for
6:33!

The Canadians lost 4-1. Something that wasn't lost on the Customs Agent Sheila chatted with the next day at the Airport in Montreal. (we couldn't get a direct flight back)

After the game we made it to the Four Seasons for a Martini ... kinda my birthday tradition, when I'm in NYC.

Hung out a bit more at Times Square.

And the next day, we got up early and flew back to Toronto, via Montreal ... here's the "couple-ish shots" of the trip.
Times Square
Central Park
Alice in Wonderland Sculpture.
The Met.
Outside the Guggenheim.
Inside the Guggenheim.
Battery Park (that's the Statue of Liberty in the distance, between our heads)
The New York Stock Exchange.
Ground Zero.
Soho.
Outside the Prada Flagship store in Soho.
Union Square.
Radio City Music Hall.
The Moma.
The Four Seasons. And the next day we left back home for Toronto.
And after a nap in Toronto, we all met up with dear friends at Terroni, Queen Street for the Birthday Dinner.

Whadda trip eh?
